At-Home Learning Resources for Students

During this time of school closure, the Bienville Parish School Board is providing resources for your student to continue their learning at home. While there are no lessons being required for students to complete, we encourage you to make sure your student is using this time to read, work on basic math skills, and learn in new ways from home. There are educational resources available on Louisiana Public Broadcasting channels, The Learning Channel, as well as programs such as "The Magic School Bus" on Netflix. YouTube and TeacherTube also have videos such as CrashCourse for Kids, etc.

This page includes links to great resources that are available online, with many companies offering free access at this time. If your student knows their log-in and password information for some of these sites, they can definitely use them during this time. Feel free to email your child's teacher with any questions or email the district curriculum coordinator, Mrs. Foster, at dottie.foster@bpsb.us.

The Louisiana Department of Education will also be providing access to an online hub for distance learning support later this week. This will include lessons and resources for math, ELA, social studies, and science as well as early childhood. Broadcasted educational programming through LPB and YouTube Channels will also launch within the next two weeks.

This page will be updated as new resources become available. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we all try to navigate this unprecedented event.

Please visit the Resources Section of the parish website for the links.
