Transition to Traditional Model of Instruction

Posted Date: 09/23/2020

Our top focus is and will remain the health and safety of students and employees as we reopen and operate schools. Governor John Bel Edwards has moved the state to Phase 3 and with the decline of Covid-19 cases in the parish we will be transitioning to the traditional model of instruction where our students will be back on campus five days a week. Students will return for daily face to face instruction on Monday, September 28, 2020. Parents still have the option to remain totally virtual.

All of our schools have done an excellent job of following the guidelines and recommendations set by the Center for Disease Control, the Louisiana Department of Health and the Louisiana Department of Education. We will continue with the social distancing guidelines to the maximum extent  possible.  Handwashing, frequent cleaning of highly touched surfaces, daily temperature checks, symptom monitoring, routine cleaning, limiting congregation in the cafeteria and hallways, static grouping and wearing of masks in 3rd – 12th grades will continue.

We will continually monitor the pandemic and address any necessary regulatory flexibilities as they arise.
